MG Gundam RX-79 Ez-8

This is my MG Gundam RX-78 Ez-8. bought it from a friend because he doesn't want it anymore and that's how i own this model.

I decided to paint this model using my airbrush. but, at the time being (i think it was back in 2008) i only got my airbrush gun/nozzle without the mini air-compressor. wanted to buy the mini air-compressor but it was way too expensive for me. i was thinking of hooking up my airbrush nozzle to my industrial 2.5hp air-compressor instead (an attempt of desperation to use my airbrush) and i did. kinda funny to have that kind of setting where a large air-compressor supplying compressed air to a pen-size airbrush. tested out the setting and it worked just fine.

The colours that i used for this gundam model was industrial paint left-over from my garage (it is not because i'm cheap that i used the left-over paint, but the price of modeler's hobby paint was expensive for me as well). did the painting according to the gundam's original colour scheme and added some dark shading using rust-proof industrial marine paint left-over (i repeat, i'm not cheap). finished building the gundam model in 2 weeks and the result suprises me. to think that the industrial paint was mixed with industrial thinner (which is very 'corrosive' to plastic. it would melt the plastic on direct contact) and used on the gundam model without any 'plastic corrosion' really makes me happy with the result. and this is the point where my gundam-building adventure began~
